Prison Ministry

- Ministering to Inmates and their Families
  
  The Prison Ministry at Good Shepherd encompasses several prison ministry opportunities in our area. Some of these opportunities include:
  Kairos Inside for men (prison based retreat program modeled after Cursillo)
  Kairos Outside (retreat program for female relatives and friends of inmates)
  Eucharistic minister (Mass and Communion Service in the prisons)
  Catechesis (teaching the faith)
  Mentoring (one on one interaction)
  Gavel Club (Toastmasters program in prison)
  Mercy House (transitional housing for the formally incarcerated)
  Joseph House (transitional housing for the formally incarcerated)
  
  These opportunities take place at one or several of the state correctional institutions in the Big Bend area of North Florida.
