Foyers is a French word which means hearth or fireside, suggesting a small group, relaxed, open and accepting of one another. It is a gesture of peace, unification and good food! The Foyers is a place to make new friends and develop new links that might aid efforts to serve God and man more effectively.
We invite Good Shepherd parishioners to join us. With small groups of six to eight folks, each couple or single person hosts a meal in their home once in six months. We get the entire group together in summer for a cookout and during the Christmas season. You can serve whatever you wish at your home, using paper plates or fancy plates.
The essence, the ministry and the blessing of Foyers is the ageless “sharing a meal”, not the meal sophistication. Please contact Susie Perkins with any quesitons!
