Nearly 2,000 years ago, our lord Jesus Christ founded the Catholic Church to help people all around the world encounter the love of God in every age and in every corner of the earth. Christ gave the Catholic Church the mandate to preserve the truth He gave us and hand it down through the centuries.
The Lord wants us all to know and understand His truth in order for us to embrace it with our whole heart and live by it.

The process by which adults formally join the Catholic Church has traditionally been referred to as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Due to a new translation of the process, it will now be known as the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). OCIA is the process by which the Catholic Church welcomes individuals into the community of the faithful.
