Sensory Mass

At Good Shepherd, we believe everyone should feel welcomed, valued, and able to fully participate in the celebration of the Eucharist.

On Sunday, July 12, at 2:00 PM, we invite individuals with autism, sensory sensitivities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, and anyone who may benefit from a quieter, more accommodating worship environment to join us for our Sensory-Friendly Mass.

This special Mass is thoughtfully adapted to reduce sensory overload while preserving the beauty and reverence of the Catholic liturgy. Lighting and sound are adjusted, the pace is more relaxed, and the environment is intentionally welcoming for those who may find a traditional Mass challenging.

Families are encouraged to come just as they are. There is no need to worry about unexpected noises or movements—this is a place where everyone is embraced with understanding, compassion, and Christ's love.  A limited number of sensory supports, including fidget items, will be available for use during the Mass for those who may benefit.
