The dates and information on this page pertains to families with children in grade 5 & 6 during the 2025-26 school year. Dates for CFF Confirmation for children CURRENTLY in GRADES 5 & 6:
1) Parent Meetings were offered in January 2026. ALL families presenting their child/ren for Confirmation are expected to participate in person at one of the 5 sessions offered. (Please note that there will be ongoing opportunities for various age groups to enter formation and celebrate Confirmation, and your family may choose a future opportunity if now is not the right time for you. Attending this Confirmation Parent Meeting is not necessarily a commitment to participate with this group.)
2) Youth Catechesis in 4 Sessions: (5 options, choose 1 series) Click to RSVP by February 8
(For families enrolled in grade 5/6 CFF classes, no action needed. Trinity and SHHE families must RSVP.)- Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:15 pm on Feb 24*, Mar 3, 10, 24
- Sunday mornings from 8:45 to 10:00 am on Mar 1*, 8, 29, Apr 12
- Sunday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:45 pm on Mar 1*, 8, 29, Apr 12
- Tuesday afternoons from 4:30 to 5:45 pm on Mar 10*, 24, Apr 7, 14
- Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 to 5:15 pm on Mar 11*, 25, Apr 8, 15
3) Summer Options- Volunteer to serve at Vacation Bible School June 8-12. Volunteer sign up opens in March. Click here for updates.

4) Sponsor/Saint- Now and ongoing: Families discern and select a Confirmation Sponsor and Saint name. Spend time with Sponsor focused on faith.

- August 31: Submit Sponsor Certification Form and Saint name via webform. (Link active August 7.)
5) Family Retreat Day (3 options, choose 1)

6) Practice & Prayer (Practice dates assigned based on Confirmation Mass time selected)
Practice: Confirmation Practice not only addresses the logistics of the day, but also a key piece of Sacramental Catechesis--understanding what will happen during the rite of Confirmation.
Prayer: Families, Candidates, and Sponsors are invited to pray a Novena to the Holy Spirit for 9 days leading up to Confirmation Mass. The entire parish will be invited and encouraged to pray with us!

8) Confirmation Mass
We have two Masses on Bishop's schedule in December 2026. We are working on scheduling additional date/s. Youth in grades 7/8 are also preparing for Confirmation and their families will have the opportunity to select Confirmation dates before 5/6 families. Families with children in both groups will have to option to celebrate together at the same Mass. Families will select Mass via webform once all dates are finalized.
9) Mystagogy
What is THAT? From online article "Mystagogy: Living the Mystery":"Ongoing mystagogy is important because our relationship with the sacraments change as we grow and mature as individuals and meet new life challenges and circumstances. In turn, the sacraments really change us. Pope Benedict XVI said, “The mature fruit of mystagogy is an awareness that one's life is being progressively transformed by the holy mysteries being celebrated” (Sacramentum Caritatis n. 64). By reflecting regularly on the sacraments, we access an incredible strength for our daily tasks."
We are still exploring what this will look like for our parish going forward, but we recognize and want to honor the importance of living the Sacraments in an ongoing way, continually reflecting, processing, unpacking the way the Sacraments change us and how to live them out in daily life, for the rest of life.
